Dr. Ford was originally born in South Africa and later immigrated to Orlando, FL where she spent most of her school-aged years with her family. She is an alumna of the University of Florida where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition and Food Science.
Dr. Ford went on to complete her postgraduate training at Nova Southeastern University’s College of Optometry where she was first awarded with her second Bachelor of Science degree in Vision Sciences. She later earned her Doctor of Optometry degree for which she was recognized for graduating with Honors (Cum Laude) and was elected to the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometry Honor Society.
After graduation, Dr. Ford continued to improve her comprehensive and medical eye care skills as an eye doctor at various private practices around the country while her husband completed his scholarship and residency in General Dentistry with the U.S. Navy.
Dr. Ford and her family now call Tequesta home and are honored to be a part of this wonderful community. Dr. Ford’s professional affiliations include: The American Optometric Association, The Florida Optometric Association, the Ocular Nutrition Society, and the Palm Beach County Optometric Society.
In her spare time, Dr. Ford enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and their three daughters, Katinka (7), Elsa (3) and Briella (1). They enjoy activities such as golfing, boating, tennis, and going to the beach. Together, Dr. Ford and her husband share a strong passion for helping others and educating themselves to the highest level to deliver optimal care to their patients.
